A 6-foot-5 shooting guard from St. Louis, the five-star prospect finished his senior year at Humble (Texas) Christian Life.
The announcement came after McLemore had finished competing in the Next All-American Classic.
"I had a good high school senior year," said McLemore after the game. "I played hard all year and narrowed it down to Kansas and Missouri and after talking to my mom last night, it was a tough decision, but next year I'll be at the University of Kansas."
Currently ranked No. 17 overall in the class of 2011, McLemore is the second prospect to pledge his allegiance to Kansas. He joins four-star point guard Naadir Tharpe to make up Bill Self's recruiting class to this point.
