McKinneys Next Move

Jason McKinney, a 5-11, 170 pound senior point guard from Inglewood H.S. in Inglewood, Calif., is trying to figure out what his next move will be. McKinney is likely to land at a prep. The favorite right now is Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.
McKinney is a very talented player. Last season, he helped his team take home a fifth place finish at the recent Slam Dunk to the Beach Tournament. McKinney was just happy to be back out on the basketball court last season after missing the entire 2000-2001 season due to a broken leg.

He averaged 15 points, 10 assists and three steals per game. He basically makes their attack go. McKinney had interest last season from George Washington, Southern Cal, UMass, Iowa State, Miami, Villanova, San Diego State and Texas El Paso.
A vocal leader on the basketball court, McKinney can play both up-tempo and halfcourt, but his speed makes him very dangerous in open court situations. He will knock down open shots, though he tends to shoot his three ball on a line drive. McKinney is particularly effective slashing the baseline and setting up his teammates off penetration.
