McKie finds fit in ACC

One ACC school's 2010 recruiting class got even deeper when it picked up a commitment from 6-foot-6, 190-pound forward Travis McKie of Richmond (Va.) John Marshall High School.
Make it four for Wake Forest's 2010 class. Four-star prospect Travis McKie joins fellow four-star forward Melvin Tabb and three-star guards Tony Chenault and J.T. Terrell.

"I liked the way that the Wake Forest coaching staff handled my recruitment," said McKie. "They made me a priority the entire year. And I like everything about Winston Salem and the Wake Forest campus."
A high energy player who can make plays around the basket and in the open court in the transition game, McKie is ready to run in the Wake Forest fast paced attack.
"They are looking at me playing the two and the three," said McKie. "They want me to get up and down the court and make plays."
McKie also considered offers from Clemson, Virginia, Alabama, VCU and interest from North Carolina and Georgia Tech.
The No.78 ranked prospect in the 2010 class, McKie averaged 21 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and two assists per game during his junior season.
