McGary officially off the board

There were no surprises from Mitch McGary during his televised commitment announcement. The elite post player will lace them up next year in the Big Ten.
With a final short list of Duke, Florida and Michigan, McGary announced his desire of playing for Coach Beilein at Michigan.

A fan of the coaching staff and program, McGary's stated intention is to bring a national championship to Ann Arbor.
6-foot-10, 250-pounds, McGary has the athleticism, motor, physicality and skill package that have drawn comparisons to dynamic college post players like Kevin Love, Tyler Hansbrough and Jared Sullinger.
The Wolverines are hoping that McGary has the same type of impact as a freshman that these three post players had.
The No. 3 ranked prospect and No. 1 ranked power forward in the Rivals150, McGary joins four-star prospects Glenn Robinson III and Nick Staukas in the 2012 Michigan recruiting class and places them in the top five of the national team recruiting rankings.
