McDade Likes Tulsa

Brett McDade, a slashing 5-11, 160 pound combo guard from Denton Ryan H.S. in Denton, Tex., has a clear leader heading into his first official visit next week.
McDade, who formed an excellent guard triumvirate this summer with the Texas Top Prospects squad alongside Kenneth Kelley and Kansas State recruit Dez Willingham, told Rivalshoops that Tulsa is in the driver's seat in his recruitment.

McDade will visit Tulsa next weekend, from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1.
"I've told Tulsa that if I like my visit, I am pretty much going to commit to them," McDade said. "I don't have any other visits set up right now."
McDade is also considering Louisiana Tech and North Texas. All three of the schools in his recruiting process have offered scholarships.
This past season as a junior at Ryan H.S., McDade averaged 21.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, three assists and 2.4 steals per game. He said he has a 4.2 GPA on a 5.0 scale, and has tallied a 990 on the SAT.
McDade's busy summer included pit stops at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis, the Great American Shootout in Denton, Tex. and the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas.
Within the past year, McDade has taken unofficial trips to both North Texas and Oklahoma. North Texas is located in his hometown of Denton.
McDade impressed us with his ability to score in bunches. He's especially dangerous in transition and is a fine athlete for his size with good quicks.
We will keep you posted on McDade's situation, so stay tuned.
