McClellan staying in Texas

Houston Bellaire product Sheldon McClellan is one of the top talents in Texas out of the 2011 class. On Monday night the 6-foot-5, 185-pound wing decided to stay in state for his college basketball.
Point guard Myck Kabongo now has a backcourt mate to run with him in Texas' 2011 recruiting class.

McClellan's third visit to Austin proved to be a charm.
"I got back Saturday night from my third visit to Texas," said McClellan. "On the first and second visit I really like it. Then on this third visit, I felt like I was at home. My mom really like it also and likes the academics there."
McClellan, who averaged 18 points per game this year, is excited about his potential role with Texas.
"I see myself fitting in really well at the two and the three," he said. "They will use me coming off ball screens also."
McClellan chose Texas over offers from Baylor, Penn State and Texas A&M and interest from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, North Carolina, USC and UCLA.
