McClain to begin visits

Now that National Christian Academy in Fort Washington, Md., has wrapped up its season, four-star senior center Anthony McClain will start visiting some schools.
Being recruited by Cincinnati, Connecticut, Florida and Tennessee, McClain will first visit Cincinnati during the first week of April.

"We're going up to Cincinnati first," said McClain's high school coach Trevor Brown. "Then I'm pretty sure we'll go up to Connecticut. They have a scholarship open now, and they are expecting Hasheem Thabeet to enter the draft."
Although these are the only two visits planned at this point, Coach Brown balked at the idea that it is a two school race for his center.
"I wouldn't say that it is down to these two schools," said Brown. "Florida is trying to get us down there for a visit, and so is Tennessee. We just want to take one visit at a time and see what's best. Whether Anthony takes one visit or three visits, I'm not sure."
McClain, who struggled through a foot injury early in the year, played strong down the stretch according to Coach Brown.
"At the end he played really well. He defended and rebounded well, and he had some offensive games where he scored around 12 to 16 points."
McClain is the No. 51 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Anthony McClain scouting report:
A formidable presence inside with his length, McClain is difficult to score over. He is also tough on the defensive glass. Also works hard on offense, but is a work in progress on that end of the court. He has yet to develop a go to move as his defense is quite a ways ahead of his offense.
