Mays Down to Four Schools
James Mays from Garner Senior High School in Raleigh, North Carolina has narrowed his list to four schools. The 6-foot-7, 215-pound power forward is considering offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Fordham.
Mays, the No. 27 power forward and No. 94 player in the Rivals150, will visit Clemson on Oct. 11 and has already visited South Carolina.

Mays returned from South Carolina with a positive impression.
“It was a pretty good experience,” Mays said. “They have a real nice program- facilities, coaches, the way they play.”
Mays also plans to sign early after visits with Virginia Tech and Fordham as well, but he has not set dates for either visit.
Fordham is a recent addition to May’s list.
“They sound real good,” he said. “I had a chance to talk with Coach Wittenberg and liked what he had to say and the chance to play right away.”
Clemson and South Carolina, however, are the top schools for Mays, especially Clemson.
“I am really high on Clemson right now. I like the coaching staff and the opportunity to play. Coach Purnell is a real nice guy.”
