Maymon makes his choice

Jeronne Maymon spent Memorial Day with his thoughts. On Tuesday morning, the four-star forward from Memorial High School in Madison, Wisc., told the world where he will be playing college basketball.
The 6-foot-6 combo forward is headed to Marquette. He also considered Baylor, Iowa State and others.

Maymon, the nation's 60th ranked rising senior, is the second player to commit to Buzz Williams in the class of 2009. He joins Texas forward Erik Williams in the class.
"[He'll be looking at] if they have a great support group. He's looking for that place where he can stay ahead of the game. He wants to find a place that thinks ahead and will be able to help him with whatever he needs," Maymon's father, Tim, said last week. "A good support group will be important and a staff that thinks of the kid first and foremost and not just the basketball player alone."
