Mayfield narrowing his list

Jeremy Mayfield, the No. 97 ranked player in the Rivals150, is slowly but surely narrowing down what was not too long ago a very long list. The 6-foot-10, 225-pound power forward from Irvin MacArthur (Texas) High School is down to four schools, with a fifth trying to get in as well.
"Jeremy is down to Neveda, Kansas State, Nebraska, and Miami,” said Mayfield’s AAU coach, Craig Roberts, of Team Fort Worth. “He visited Nevada this weekend . He will be visiting Kansas State Friday, Nebraska October 29th, and Miami November 5th. USC is trying to get a visit November 13th, and there is a good chance Jeremy will take it."

Roberts noted that Mayfield had a positive visit to upstart Nevada.
"He really liked it and said he could see himself playing there,” said Roberts. “Jeremy was real impressed with there team. He was impressed with their freshmen guards Lyndale Burleson and Ramon Sessions. Jeremy was hosted by Kevin Pickney and they hit it off real well. Jeremy and Coach Mark Fox have built a good relationship. Jeremy seems to like him a lot."
Full of upside, Mayfield is long, lean, athletic and has the potential to be both an inside and outside threat in the coming years.
