May Has High D-1 Interest

Bryce May, a developing 6-7, 210 pound power forward from Cedar Valley C.C. in Lancaster, Tex., displayed some solid potential at the recent Mullen/Mitchell Dallas JUCO Jamboree.
May, who is the brother of former Kansas State player Paco May, is a wiry lefty with good wheels and athleticism. That allows him to be a factor on the fast break and as a slasher along the baseline.

While his overall skill level is still a work in progress, May is still only 18 years old entering his second year at Cedar Valley. Some of the tools he possesses suggest that he could make the move to the three slot down the road.
Suns Head Coach Rick McCormick, who led Cedar Valley to the NJCAA Division III title two years ago, feels that May's best basketball is ahead of him.
Tennessee Tech, West Virginia, Kansas State, Long Beach State, Indiana State and Duquesne are among the Division I programs who have expressed an interest in May this fall, McCormick said.
May, a native of Richardson, Tex., is expected to graduate in the spring. His recruitment is likely to evolve quite a bit as Cedar Valley opens its season on Nov. 1 at the Frank Phillips Classic in Borger, Tex.
