Matthews Transfers From Marquette

James Matthews, 6-foot-8, 240-pound power forward from Marquette, has decided to transfer to another school. The decision was made today on where Matthews will go to school next.

Matthews transferred to Iowa State. Matthews had several calls from high division one programs but elected to play for Iowa State.
Matthews, who played for the Michigan Hurricanes on the AAU circuit, will play the four spot for the Iowa State team, which is currently riding a 7-0 hot streak this season.
Matthews will have at least two and a half years to play for Iowa State. A source close to Matthews told us he plans on appealing for the third year.
