Matt Trannon Is Wide Open

To say that 6-6, 200 pound athlete deluxe Matt Trannon is wide open, would be, well, an understatement.
Trannon, who is being coveted by a number of high Division I programs this summer for both his football and basketball prowess, told the Insiders Report at last week's ABCD Camp that he probably will not narrow his list down until after the July evaluation period.

As a result, his list is quite lengthy. Trannon told IR that he is looking at Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
Trannon is seriously considering playing both sports at the college level.
Last year on the gridiron, he amassed 897 yards as a wide receiver thanks in part to his blistering 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash. He also hauled down in the neighborhood of 13-14 touchdowns.
In basketball, the high wire act recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocked shots per game at Flint Northern H.S. in Flint, Mich.
Trannon said that he has a 2.8 GPA and scored an 18 on the ACT. Following the adidas ABCD Camp, he plans to travel out west with the Michigan Hurricanes to the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas and the Oakland Slam N Jam/EBO Elite 8x2 Tournament in Berkeley, Calif.
IR will keep you posted on Trannon in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
