Lincoln Southeast (Neb.) High School big man Matt Hill continues to improve as he works his way into the national spotlight. With a No. 78 ranking in the Rivals150, the 6-foot-10, 225-pound power forward is working with a list of seven schools and has three official visits scheduled.
"I'm interested in Nebraska, Creighton, Texas, Gonzaga, Utah, Purdue and Nevada," said Hill. "All of them have offered, and I have official visits set up with Utah, Purdue and Texas. I'll probably just use unofficial visits for Nebraska and Creighton, and I'm looking into going to Gonzaga in October."
Utah will receive the first official visit on September 2, and then the Purdue and Texas visit will occur on consecutive weekends after the Utah visit.
Hill is an active, mobile big man with a great touch around the basket. Able to score both inside and outside, Hill will only get better as he gets stronger. He is also a dangerous shot blocker.
"I'd like to go somewhere that fits my style of running the court and playing facing the basket as well as with my back to the basket," said Hill, who averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds as a junior last season. "Location does mean a little, but if I find the right fit, I will definitely move away."
