Matt Gorman Update

Matt Gorman, a 6-9, 212 pound center from Watertown High School in upstate New York, finished up his unofficial visit to Syracuse yesterday.
Gorman took another tour of the Syracuse campus, met with the coaches and then proceeded to play some pickup ball with some other players. He ended one pickup game with a turn around jumper for the win. Gorman may take a trip to Western Kentucky in the next couple of days. We will keep you posted on that.

The Orangemen expect to have an in home visit with Gorman and his family on September 9th. Seton Hall is scheduled for September 12th. Western Kentucky is also involved. Maryland has moved themselves to the perimeter of the recruiting process. So it might end up being a three-school race.
Gorman has a great touch from 10-12 feet. He has a nice turnaround jumper and can face the basket. His free throws are flat and have no rotation but when he is on the floor and shooting from the perimeter, he is very sweet. Gorman is also very active. He will need to add some strength to his frame. This can be easily handled from the weight room. Gorman is likely to add about 20-25 pounds to his frame by the time he is done with college.
