Matt Gorman Finishes Syracuse In Home Visit

Matt Gorman, a 6-9, 212 pound center from Watertown High School in upstate New York, finished up his in home visit with Syracuse last night. The trip went well, according to Matt's dad, Bob.
"My wife is serving the same meal to all the coaches this week," Bob Gorman said. "She wanted to make sure we served the same food to each of the coaches. We have to be fair about this."

So the Gormans will be eating alot of chicken this week. As of now, Western Kentucky is scheduled for an in home visit tonight. Seton Hall head coach Louis Orr is expected to be in home tomorrow night.
"So far Matt has scheduled two official visits," Bob Gorman said. "He will visit Syracuse next weekend and Western Kentucky the following weekend."
But anything can change at any moment, as most fans know in a recruiting process. The last time Gorman took an unofficial visit to Syracuse, he met with the coaches and then proceeded to play some pickup ball with some other players. He ended one pickup game with a turn around jumper for the win. Gorman also visited Western Kentucky over the Labor Day weekend. Western Kentucky would prefer to have Gorman take the official with his parents but that might not be possible. Matt has an uncle near Western Kentucky.
Maryland has requested a visit through a letter sent.
Gorman averaged 19.5 points per game and was named to the All-State third team after leading the 23-1 Cyclones to the sectional title. Mr. Gorman said Matt will take the SAT this fall. He has an 85 average through his junior year.
Matt plays with Mickey Walker's Central New York AAU program. He was at the USA Basketball's 4th annual Youth Development Festival, the NBPA camp at American University in the nation's capital, and adidas' ABCD camp and Big Time Tournament.
