Maryland picks up key 2012 commitment

When it was announced that Justin Anderson would be making his decision today most figured he would pick Maryland. But, that didn't take away from the importance of him actually making that pick.
An ultra athletic 6-foot-5 small forward at Rockville (Md.) Montrose Christian, Anderson was at the top of Gary Williams' and his staff's 2012 board.

Thursday afternoon, he made the Terrapins persistence pay off by picking them in a ceremony at his school.
"It's Maryland," Anderson texted Rivals.com. "It's just a great fit for me."
While he's well known for his powerful dunks and transition finishing, Anderson is working hard to be more than just a dunker.
He's a physical player who is an above average rebounder for a wing and he has tremendous defensive potential. Anderson has worked hard to become a threat from beyond the three point line as a jump shooter and is now working to upgrade his ball handling.
A four-star prospect who currently ranks #43 nationally in the Rivals150, Anderson is Maryland's first commitment from the class of 2012.
