Six-foot-4 shooting guard Dion Wiley gave the Terps the nod, according to sources close to the situation.
Ranked No. 49 in the Rivals150, the senior to be at Oxon Hill (Md.) Potomac is a very good prize for Maryland.
Wiley is a pure scorer from the wing who specializes in knocking down deep jumpers. Pretty efficient with his touches, Wiley also has above-average strength and is tough to take the ball away from when he's driving to the hole.
A four-star prospect, Wiley joins point guard Romelo Trimble in the Terrapins 2014 recruiting class. Like Wiley, Trimble is a four-star prospect and he checks in at No. 56 nationally.
