Marvin Black Has New Interest

JUCO Junction caught up with Coffeyville Asst. Coach B.J. Hill, and he gave us the skinny on Marvin Black. Black, a versatile 6-7 sophomore combination forward from Cleveland, Ohio, has yet to set up any visits. But some new schools are now looking at the jumping jake from Lake Erie land.
"Oregon has dabbled a little bit with him as well as Fresno," Hill said. "Marshall is still also looking, but they are just trying to evaluate him again by looking at some tape from earlier in the year."

In a previous interview with JUCO Junction, Hill also mentioned Buffalo, Cleveland State, Wright State and Wyoming with Black.
Black averaged 14 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for the Red Ravens in 2001-2002. He shot 66 percent from the field and 47 percent beyond the three point arc.
Black is consistently active on the offensive glass and also puts the ball on the deck well for a forward. His all-around game makes him an attractive prospect to several Division I programs this spring.
