Martin lands his first at Tennessee

Just a few weeks ago, Wes Washpun came very close to committing to Missouri State during an official visit. As it turns out, Washpun will end up playing for Cuonzo Martin.
Only, it's going to happen at Tennessee.

Sources confirmed on Sunday afternoon that the 6-foot-1 combo guard from Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Washington is Martin's first commitment at the helm of the Volunteer program.
An athletic guard who loves to get to the rim, the three-star Washpun is a bit of a late-bloomer. He's become more comfortable as a jump shooter and had earned a late offer from home state Iowa to go along with interest from LaSalle and others before he pulled the trigger for Tennessee.
Washpun should provide insurance for the Volunteers should four-star guard Chris Jones -- who has attended three schools during his senior year -- have trouble qualifying.
