Marshalls Stock Rises

Justin Marshall, a 6-7, 205-pound combination forward from Christ the King High School in the Middle Village section of Queens, is a talent who has been overlooked a bit thus far.
Marshall, who is a member of Artie Cox's Sonday Express AAU program, moonlighted at the Las Vegas Big Time Tournament with The New York Ravens, and was instrumental in the Ravens' championship run. Marshall is long and athletic, as well as quick off his feet. His burgeoning face-up game will likely allow Marshall to play small forward at the next level. His ability to shoot from the perimeter make Marshall a valuable commodity, although he does need to do it with more consistency. While Justin possesses a lithe frame and will need to hit the weights a bit, he is an intriguing run and jump athlete worth keeping an eye on.

Marshall has heard from Iona, Hostra, St. Peter's, Hartford, Quinnipiac, Boston University, Norteastern, and Texas Tech. Iona, whom Marshall told us has been sending him handwritten letters of late, has offered, as has Hofstra, St. Peter's, and Hartford. Iona assistants Craig Holcomb and Tony Chiles were in attendance at the Real Scout All-Star game at FIT on Wednesday night, as was St. Peter's head coach Bob Leckie, Hofstra head coach Tom Pecora, and representatives from Hartford and Northeastern.
Marshall will compete in the Five Star Honesdale Camp during the last week of August. He is also participating in the UDC Summer League in the Bronx with The Sonday Express.
Marshall carries an 83 average in the classroom. Justin has scored 850 on the SAT.
