Marshal Hartman Has A List

Marshal Hartman, a skilled 6-6 1/2, 228 pound power forward from Westview H.S. in Portland, Ore., helped his stock this summer with some fine performances at the adidas Big Time and Best of Summer Tournament.
Hartman (pictured right) is not quick or athletic, but after you watch him play several times, you realize that he is a very skilled basketball player who overcomes some of his physical limitations.

On top of that, he is still a bit fearful of a knee injury he suffered last year, and wears a brace for what he calls "reassurance," even though the injury has long since healed.
Hartman is an excellent shooter for a big man, and he's liable to spot up effectively from anywhere inside and sometimes even beyond the three point arc. He's also a very good passer from the high post. While he's good at facing the basket offensively, Hartman does not have the foot speed to guard a three man, so defensively, he has to play in the low post.
Hartman told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he has been offered a scholarship by Portland State, and also had interest from Northwestern, Oregon State, Arkansas, Wyoming, Nevada, Cal-Irvine, Gonzaga, Northern Arizona and Virginia Military Institute.
Hartman averaged 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks per game as a junior at Westview. He said he has a 2.6 GPA and has scored over an 820 on the SAT.
In addition to the adidas Big Time and Best of Summer events, Hartman also played with Troy Berry's Portland Legends program at the finalscore.com Tournament in Seattle.
