Friday night, Marquette and four-star combo guard Nick Noskowiak reached a mutual agreement to part ways.

A 6-foot-2 scorer from Sun Prairie (Wisc.) High who missed 11 games between December and February for undisclosed reasons, Noskowiak currently ranks No. 95 in the class of 2015 and was expected to be a major contributor to the rebuilding effort in Milwaukee.
The exact reasoning for Noskowiak's release is still unclear but Marquette made the release official.
"After a discussion with Nick, we decided it was best for our program, and for Nick personally, to explore other options and wish him the best of luck as he continues his basketball career," said head coach Steve Wojciechowski in a statement issued by the school.
Noskowiak will now be free to sign with any program that he chooses -- as long as they are not in the Big East -- and with few available guards on the market he will likely draw plenty of interest. Schools are also likely going to want to know exactly what happened with Marquette before moving forward with the recruitment of Noskowiak.
Despite the loss of the four-star guard, Marquette still has a strong class that includes five-star power forward Henry Ellenson, four-star off guard Haanif Cheatham and three-star big man Matt Heldt.
