Mario Boggans Game Starts From Inside

Think of any kind of tough, workmanlike vehicle out there, and you have a pretty good idea of Mario Boggan's game. A tank, a Mack Truck, whatever -- as long as it's rugged and ready to bang, chances are it will be an apropos selection and comparison.
A 6-7, 290 pound power forward from Durham, N.C., Boggan scored 18 points in Hargrave's recent 105-100 victory over Celestial Prep.

Blessed with a burly frame and terrific hands, Boggan simply knows how to finish around the basket. He also has deceptively quick moves to the basket for his size, and once he catches, he's either finishing a lay-in (conventional or reverse) or getting fouled.
Bound next fall for the University of Florida, Boggan is still working on getting a qualifying test score according to Hargrave Head Coach Mike Preston.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com had a chance to see Boggan quite a bit this past summer with the T5T Playaz basketball program, and despite his relative lack of height for the position, he was able to consistently score from both the center and power forward positions.
While Florida's freshman class this year features sleek athletic types like David Lee and James White, Boggan should be the perfect complement to that pair with his bruising and physical low post play.
The Insiders Report will catch Boggan and Hargrave again later this season, so we will keep you posted on his academic and athletic progress at the prep school power.
