Marcus Arnold Has D-1 Interest

One of the more underrated big men on the national scene, 6-8, 205 pound combination/power forward Marcus Arnold of Morgan Park H.S. in Chicago, had a pair of Division I schools visit him this fall.
Arnold said he hosted both Illinois-Chicago and Illinois State, and said he could visit either one of both of those schools in the coming weeks.

In addition, he has fielded recent phone calls from Tulane, San Francisco and UNC-Greensboro.
"I am not sure when I will sign," Arnold said. "I am trying to look at all of my options right now."
Arnold averaged 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks per game as a junior at Morgan Park.
The biggest question mark surrounding Arnold right now concern his academics -- he said he has a GPA in the 2.0 range and has scored below a 17 on the ACT. Minimum NCAA eligibility standards call for a prospective student-athlete to have a 2.5 GPA and a 17 ACT score.
Arnold was very impressive when the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com caught him in action at the D.C. Pro Am Tournament back in June. Blessed with a good basketball body and athleticism, Arnold has a true inside-out game.
Thanks to his bouncy athleticism, Arnold is an active force on the glass, yet he also has legitimate range out to three point land. Depending on his academic status, he could be one of the more sought after big men this winter and next spring.
IR will keep you posted on Arnold, so stay tuned!
