Many Majors Seek Wing

Sean Banks, a very versatile 6-6 small forward from Bergen Catholic H.S. in Oradell, N.J., just took his first official visit to Pittsburgh the last weekend in May. Banks praised his trip to Pittsburgh and said the Panthers are one of his top schools.
In addition to Pitt, Banks told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that Maryland and West Virginia also came in to look at him this spring. Others on his early list include North Carolina, N.C. State, Texas, Rutgers, St. John's, Seton Hall and Tennessee.

Banks enjoyed a terrific weekend at the Bob Gibbons Memorial Day Tournament of Champions, claiming MVP honors in leading the Playaz Gold squad to the 17 and under National Division title. But Banks could not help the Playaz advance out of pool play this past weekend at the Rumble in the Bronx. The Playaz lost two of three games at the event held on the campus of Fordham University.
Banks also enjoyed a banner junior campaign at Bergen Catholic, helping the Crusaders reach the final four of the New Jersey State Tournament of Champions before they were knocked out by eventual champ St. Anthony's.
