Mann-ing up to the Pac-10

All Jarrett Mann needed to hear was the word accepted. The 6-foot-4 guard from Delaware will end his recruitment this weekend and commit to an academic power.
Mann was officially accepted by Stanford and he told Rivals.com that he will call head coach Trent Johnson and officially commit to the Pac-10 school.

"I worked on the application for a month and a half and I was feeling pretty confident that I'd be accepted. I had my SAT scores and I got accepted around last week," Mann said. "I'm going to call coach Johnson tomorrow and commit to him."
Mann, the No. 53 ranked player in the country, has shined this spring with the Playaz Basketball Club and did so on Friday night at the Tournament of Champions. Mann said he will play the wing position out west and wants to go to work on another Rivals150 player.
"I think the Pac-10 is going to be a bonafide conference next year and I wanted to be a part of that," Mann said. "I got a really close relationship on (Houston guard) Jeremy Green. Depending on his application, he'll probably be there with me too."
Mann is the first player to commit to Stanford in the class of 2008.
