Manigault makes big decision

Kenny Manigault is leaving the coastland of South Carolina for college. The three-star point guard from Summerville Prep is off the board.
Manigault verbally committed to Wichita State and should prove to be a major pick up for Gregg Marshall and the Shockers.

"I've always wanted to play for coach Marshall, ever since he was at Winthrop," Manigault said. "They started recruiting me my sophomore year and then carried over when he went to Wichita State."
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound point guard is one of the top point guards in the Southeast. He's a versatile backcourt player with great length and potential to be one of the top defenders for the Shockers during his career there.
"I think I'll fit in real well there because they play just like how we play in high school, an up-tempo game," Manigault said. "He said he's going to play me at the point."
He said he also considered Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia and Marquette.
"The campus was real nice. The part that stood out the most was the environment around the campus. It's different from over here," Manigault said. "I like it there."
Manigault is the first player to commit to Wichita State in the class of 2009.
