Majors Take Look At Mory Correa

Mory Correa, a talented 6-10, 220 pound power forward/center from Pratt C.C. in Pratt, Kan., has taken a pair of official visits this fall.
According to Pratt Head Coach Earl Diddle, Correa tripped to Texas Tech from Sept. 6-8, and then Cleveland State from Sept. 21-23.

In addition to those two programs, Duquesne, LaSalle, Kansas State and Illinois have also expressed varying degrees of interest in Correa this fall.
However, Coach Diddle said that it is uncertain if Correa will ink early or wait until the spring signing period to pick a school.
"It does not both me if he signs early," Diddle said. "Whatever is best for Mory. He liked both of his trips. [Texas Tech] Coach [Bobby] Knight has done a wonderful job of recruiting him, as has [Cleveland State] Coach [Rollie] Massimino."
Correa was one of the top big men in the Jayhawk Conference a year ago. His combination of size, athleticism and mobility made him a priority for many Division I programs this summer, although he only has taken two trips this fall.
Although his family hails from the Senegal, Correa had lived in Paris, France before arriving at Pratt. He averaged 14.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game as a freshman last season, appearing in 29 of the 30 Beavers' games. However, Pratt suffered through a dismal 13-17 season, going a paltry 1-15 in Jayhawk West action.
Should he opt to sign late and not go on any more trips this fall, Correa could have up to three visits left to take this spring.
Whatever the outcome, JUCO Junction will keep you posted on Correa, so stay tuned.
