Majors Line Up To Recruit Nick Stafford

Nick Stafford, a 6-8, 190-pound forward from Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, has seen a high level of recruiting interest in his skills. And he is one of the top juniors in the class of 2003.
According to head coach Mo Cassara, Stafford was watched and has interest from Maryland, Virginia, Seton Hall, Boston College, Connecticut, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, and Providence.

Stafford has improved his overall game over the past year. "He is working hard to becoming a complete player," Cassara said. "He is working hard in practice."
Stafford is likely to receive plenty of offers early on if he continues to progress in his game. "He is very athletic," Cassara said. "If he continues to improve his skills along the perimeter, he is going to be a top division one player."
Cassara said Stafford is first going to focus on his school year and his basketball before taking visits. Though official visits will now be allowed for juniors starting January 1st. It's likely some of the above schools will invite Stafford in for a visit this winter. "He is open," Cassara said. "Right now the season and schoolwork is what he is thinking about."
