Madden Has Mid-Range Interest

Maurice Madden, a quick 6-0, 170 pound point/combo guard from Upper Dublin H.S. in Ft. Washington, Md., is getting interest from several colleges this summer.
Madden, who played with Championship Sports at last weekend's Sonny Hill Future Stars Tournament in Philadelphia, told Rivalshoops that he has been offered a scholarship by Maryland Baltimore County.

Others showing interest include Quinnipiac, Robert Morris, Lehigh, Canisius, Rider, Drexel, Towson and Division II Philadelphia University.
Madden plans on taking unofficial trips to Towson, UMBC and Drexel in the upcoming weeks.
Last season at Upper Dublin, Madden averaged 20 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals per game. He said he has a 2.4 GPA and will take the SAT in October for the first time.
A physical defender blessed with good end to end speed, Madden has the instincts of a scoring guard in the body of a point guard.
His busy summer included pit stops at the first session of the Eastern Invitational Basketball Clinic, the adidas Big Time Tournament (with Sam Rines) and the Charlie Weber/Harley Davidson Invitational (with Championship Sports).
We will keep you posted on Madden's recruitment in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
