Madden close to making decision

Ky Madden took an official visit to Ole Miss this past weekend and now with three trips in the books the point guard from Lepanto (Ark.) East Poinsett County is seemingly ready to make his commitment.
Madden, a 6-foot-4, 170-pound four-star prospect, reportedly had an outstanding time at Ole Miss over the weekend and got a chance to talk with point guard Chris Warren, coach Andy Kennedy and many others.

The discussions with Warren over the weekend were especially important for Madden in the decision-making process.
"He said the program was really guard-oriented," Madden told RebelSports.net. "He said they let the guards run the team. That's what I really like. I really want to play in a program like that."
Official visits to Arkansas and Baylor have already been taken and Madden was expected to visit Oklahoma State and UConn but RebelSports.net reported that those trips have been cancelled and Madden plans to announce his decision during a Wednesday news conference.
Whichever program lands Madden is getting a mature, heady point guard who improved in many facets with the Arkansas Wings this past AAU season.
"He took more of a leadership role for me this year, kind of controlled the team and ran the team a little bit more than he did in previous years," Arkansas Wings coach Tim Loring said.
"I think he matured over the year and then he wanted to show the coaches that he could play the point guard position."
Rivals.com rates Madden as the sixth-best point guard and No. 27 in the 2011 class. Florida, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Marquette, Memphis and others have also offered him.
