Lyons Staying Close to Home

LaBrian Lyons did not need to look far from home to find what he wanted in a college. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound combo guard from Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee will travel thirty miles north to Nashville to play for Lipscomb.
“Lipscomb is close to home,” said Lyons. “It seems like there are a lot of nice people there, and I like the facilities.”

Lyons chose Lipscomb, who will play its inaugural season in the Atlantic Sun Conference this year, over Arkansas-Little Rock, Austin Peay, UT-Martin, and MTSU.
According to Lyons, Lipscomb will utilize him as a point guard, shooting guard, and small forward. Lyons thrives on slashing to the basket and finishing in the lane, and he will focus on improving his outside shot this season.
