After taking an official visit to Notre Dame last weekend, Luke Zeller has given a commitment to the Irish. Mike Brey and his staff did an outstanding job with their recruitment of Zeller, which is why the 6-foot-11, 225-pound center from Washington High School in Washington, IN., has made this decision.

“Yes, Luke has made a decision. He has committed to Notre Dame,” Washington High School Head Coach Dave Omer said. “I wouldn’t say that I am shocked with his decision because Notre Dame has been recruiting him for a long time, and they made a lot of appearances to his high school and to the gym to watch him play.

“When Luke took his official visit to Notre Dame last week, I really think he saw everything that he needed to see,” he added. “He just loved everything about the visit. I know he was really going back and fourth between Notre Dame, Illinois and Kansas, but in the end, Notre Dame was just the best situation.”

Rivals.com ranks Zeller No. 16 in their class of 2005 rankings.
