Lubick hitting the road

One of the better big men in the 2010 class, Nate Lubick of Southborough (Mass.) St. Mark's High School will cover a lot of miles visiting schools over the next couple weeks.
On Thursday Lubick will cross the country to visit UCLA before he heads back east to Charlottesville, Va., to participate in the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp. It just so happens that the host school Virginia is in Lubick's top five along with UCLA.

"Right now UCLA, Virginia, Georgetown, Michigan and Duke are in my top five," said Lubick, 6-foot-8, 227-pounds. "All except of Duke have offered. Coach K is busy with the Olympics, but I do talk to Coach Collins a lot. I'm pretty sure I'll get out there in August."
A couple other schools will host Lubick prior to August. An unofficial visit is scheduled with Notre Dame, and Lubick will take part in Michigan's elite camp.
Lubick, who is both a skilled and rugged big man, contributes in a variety of ways on the court.
"I try to do a little bit of everything," he said. "I can knock down shots and also try to make my teammates better by making the extra pass. I'm always rebounding and can also finish on the break."
During the high school season, Lubick averaged 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists and 2.5 blocks per game.
