When he was younger, three-star forward Aaron Epps made a promise to his mother about where he would go to school.

Shortly after a weekend official visit to LSU, the 6-foot-9 big man from Tioga (La.) High made good on the promise he made to his mother years ago by verbally committing to the Tigers.
"I love everything about LSU," Epps told Rivals.com. "The coaches, the players, the atmosphere, everything. I told my mother when I was younger that I'd go to LSU."
To many nationally, Epps is a bit of an unknown. To the LSU coaching staff, he is a long term bet on a big guy who can run, has good shooting range and lots of upside if he can develop his strength.
Playing in the summer for the Jackson Tigers, Epps showed notable improvement at the Nike Peach Jam after making minor contributions earlier in the spring. He was more active around the rim, showed an ability to make mid range shots and showed that he can move well for a kid with his size.
Epps is LSU's and Johnny Jones first commitment from the class of 2014.
