Lowry: Syracuse Xavier Are Out

Kyle Lowry, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound McDonald's All American candidate from Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, Penn., said he was informed tonight by the Syracuse basketball staff that the Orangemen have dropped out of his recruiting race.
"They told me that they have taken a commitment from Josh Wright," said Lowry, referring to another solid lead guard the Orangemen were pursuing in the class of 2004.

"Xavier is also out," Lowry added. "They also took another guard. So I am down to Connecticut and Pittsburgh."
The Panthers have also recently added combo guard Keith Benjamin. "That doesn't matter," Lowry said. "I am still interested in Pittsburgh too."
