Lowry Provides Hefty List

Kyle Lowry is the heartbeat for Cardinal Dougherty H.S., and as he goes, so usually go the Cardinals.
The 5-11, 170 pound Lowry helped the Cardinals finish third in the national eight team bracket at the Slam Dunk to the Beach Tournament in Delaware. He is very dangerous off the dribble, and consistently got to the free throw line (11/17 FTs) to help Dougherty upend St. Andrew's in the third place game.

Lowry is not a classic point guard who sets the table for his teammates. Rather, he is an offensive minded floor general who can score and distribute with equal aplomb.
Following his terrific 21 point, three assist performance in the win over Dougherty, Lowry told Rivalshoops.com that he is being recruited the heaviest thus far by La Salle, St. Joe's, Temple, Xavier, Ohio State, UConn, Providence and Drexel.
Last season at Northeast H.S. in Philly, Lowry averaged 17.5 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and eight steals per game.
He transferred into Dougherty this fall, and said he carries roughly a 2.5 GPA. Lowry has yet to take the SAT or ACT.
As for summer plans, Lowry said he's uncertain what traveling program he'll suit up for. He's played for both the Philadelphia Patriots and the Tim Thomas Playaz in the past year.
Rivalshoops.com plans on catching Dougherty in action again this winter, so you can count on us to keep you posted on Lowry's exploits and recruitment.
