Lowry Has Top Five List

Sixty-Seven steps. It's a key phrase when discussing Kyle Lowry's Xavier visit. "It's only sixty-seven steps from the dorm to the gym," said Lowry, who is one of the top guards in the 2004 class. "That's what I liked most about it."
Lowry said he enjoyed his visit to Xavier this past weekend. "It was good to see the campus," Lowry said. "You can walk to everything. There is also playing time there. I would be able to step in and play right away there."

Lowry said Xavier is one of his top five schools. "Xavier, Connecticut, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Kansas are my top five," Lowry said. "Florida State has called recently. My coach and I are doing some research on them to see if it would be a good fit."
Lowry on Kansas: "Aaron Miles will be there for a couple of years playing the point guard position. So I can come in then to play."
Lowry On Syracuse: "I can play in the same backcourt with Gerry McNamara. I can set him up for outside jumpers."
On Connecticut: "There's playing time there though Taliek Brown will still be there. (Brown will have expired eligibility by then). I like their style of play."
On Pittsburgh: "I can step in and play right away. They had a backup for Brandin Knight who will play this year for them."
So Lowry basically had a consensus on all the schools regarding playing time. He also felt each school had a style he liked. "They all run," Lowry said. "That's why I have them on my list."
