Low Ready For Next Trip

Chris Low, a 6-9, 210-pound combo forward from Gorman High School in Tyler, Texas, told us he is looking forward to his visit to Arizona State this weekend. He has already taken a trip to SMU. "The SMU trip went well," Low said. "I learned more about the school. I spoke to the coaches for a while about the basketball program. It's a good academic school too."
Low added: "I am also looking forward to my visit to Arizona State. They also have a good program and play in a tough conference. That's what I am going to have to decide. Whether to stay close to home or play somewhere else."

Low told us he also has an offer from TCU. "I have been very impressed with the coaching staff there," Low said. "I am very comfortable with them and like the school and the program a lot."
Chris also indicated he is speaking to Indiana, Virginia, and Western Kentucky. Low said he has not ruled out taking visits to any of the three schools listed above. "Virginia called recently," Low said. "They play in a great conference like Indiana. And they have a great school. So I have to talk to them more about setting up some more visits."
Low proved during the spring and summer he can play among the best competition during the AAU sessions. Low, who competed with Team Texas Elite this spring and summer first showed us his skills at the Rumble in the Bronx last June.
He followed that up with a solid performance at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. He has a sweet touch from the outside and a good feel for the game. Low averaged 24 points and 15 rebounds last season as a junior.
