Love trims list, sets visits

6-foot-9 senior center Jason Love from Abington Friends School in Pennsylvania had a terrific summer playing with the Hunting Park Warriors on the AAU circuit. He has now narrowed his list to just six schools, with four visits planned in September. Rivals.com caught up with Love recently for an update on his recruitment.
"My list consists of Xavier, LaSalle, Providence, George Washington, Penn State, and Virginia right now," Love said. "I have scholarship offers from all except George Washington and Virginia."

Love told us that he has setup four of his official visits, with Penn State up first on the weekend of Septmeber 9th. He then visits Xavier on September 16th, Providence on September 23rd, and LaSalle on the 30th of September.
When asked if he had a leader, he was candid, saying, "Xavier and Providence lead right now. Xavier has been good with big men in the past, like David West, and they have some great players coming in like Andrew Lavender. Providence plays in the Big East Conference and I like what they did with Ryan Gomes."
Love is a good student with a qualifying score on the SAT. He told us that he'd make a fall decision and sign in November.
This summer Love has made tremendous progress in his ability to run the floor and stay out of foul trouble, two areas that had plagued him in the past. He has great hands and excellent touch around the basket, and does a superb job on the glass. His willingness to stay in good shape will determine how much of an impact player he'll be at the next level.
Love will play with Abington Friends in several high profile events this winter, including the 2005 Jameer Nelson Holiday Classic at Widener University where he will go up against Haddonfield Memorial's 7-foot Duke bound Center Brian Zoubek.
