Love a hot commodity

Kevin Love, the 6-foot-8, 240-pound center/power forward from Lake Oswego (OR) High School has established himself as one of the most heavily recruited and elite players in the class of 2007. A number of high major programs have already stopped by to watch Love workout during the open recruiting period.
"The KU coaching staff was here earlier today to watch Kevin workout," said Lake Oswego head coach Mark Shoff. "Coaches from UCLA, Arizona and Southern California have already been out to watch Kevin in the gym.

"Ohio State and North Carolina are planning to come out in the future," he added. "Those are just some of the schools that have expressed an interest in coming out to watch Kevin in the gym."
When it comes to Love, the No. 6 ranked player in the class of 2007, and his recruitment, the sky appears to be the limit. It's only a matter of time before more schools begin to recruit one of the truly elite players in the class.
However, Coach Shoff made it perfectly clear that Love is not in a hurry to make a decision about his future. As a matter of fact, Love intends to take his time with the process.
"Kevin and I have not spent much time talking about his recruitment," said Shoff. "You know, he has so much time before a decision has to be made, so there is no point in rushing this decision.
"I am sure that Kevin and I will sit down at the end of this year and talk more about his recruitment," he added. "Right now, coaches are just coming in and watching him workout in the gym."
