Louisville to add sixth recruit

The Louisville Cardinals will strike again. Jonathan Huffman, a 6-foot-11, 210-pound forward from Birmingham’s Central Park (Ala.) High School, returned home from his official visit and will commit to Rick Pitino and company on Monday morning. He will become the sixth recruit in the class of 2005 for the Conference USA, and soon to be Big East, school.
Huffman was on the Louisville campus this weekend and returned home with a solid mind that he found his future home.

“I’m going to call Coach Pitino in the morning and tell them I’m coming to Louisville,” Huffman told Rivals.com. “I talked to my mom and dad and my coaches and they know what I’m going to do and they are happy with that.”
Like most recruits, the idea of playing for Pitino is a dream come true.
“I like the coaches. They are a really good staff,” Huffman said. “They’ve done a really good job of making their players better and from what Coach Pitino has told me, they will use me as an inside/out kind of player. All of the other schools that I was looking at haven’t been able to do the things that Coach Pitinio has with players like me. I’ve done the research. He’s put people in the NBA.”
Huffman, who attended Louisville’s camp in June, is the sixth recruit to verbally commit to the school. He joins center Clarence Holloway, forwards Amir Johnson, Lamar Roberson, Terrence Williams and point guard Andre McGee.
The No. 38 ranked forward in the nation by Rivals.com will team up with Roberson at Central Park this season.
