Just one day after the first of July's three open evaluation periods, Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals have landed one of their primary targets in the class of 2015.
Sources close to the recruitment of the nation's No. 47 player Deng Adel have confirmed to Rivals.com that the 6-foot-7 small forward from Bradenton (Fla.) Victory Rock Prep has ended his recruitment.
An import from Australia, Adel has impressed this spring and summer while quickly making his way up the Rivals150.
Long and slender, Adel is a high performing transition athlete who can finish above the rim. He rebounds very well, plays with great energy and is also a good defensive player. In the halfcourt, Adel really likes to shoot medium range jumpers and is one of the very best in all of high school basketball at using the glass to kiss home jumpers from between 12 and 17 feet.
Because of his 6-foot-7 size and skill in the high post, Adel can also be used as a stretch four man in a small lineup.
Adel is a mainstay of the Florida Elite summer program and is the first commitment for Louisville from the 2015 class.
