Already the owners of commitments from high end four-stars Shaqquan Aaron and Quentin Snider in the class of 2014, the 'Ville added five-star combo guard Jaquan Lyle on Wednesday.
A product of Evansville (Ind.) Bosse, the No. 17 player in the class of 2014 had been considered a Cardinal lean for a while and made things official after final approval from his mother.
"I've liked Louisville a lot and then me and coach Keatts developed a great relationship," Lyle told Rivals.com. "My mom went to the last visit and she fell in love with the school and the way they do things. So it was the best decision for me and my family."
A power guard who is capable of running a team or serving as a primary scorer, Lyle is the type of versatile performer that Pitino covets. He's heading to school ready to do whatever is needed.
"I can see myself doing a lot of things," said Lyle. "Whatever the coach asks me to do I think I'll be able to do."
Lyle is happy to have his recruitment over with and he's excited to join a strong group. Now, he has a five-star big man target -- and summer teammate on the Spiece Indy Heat -- in mind to go to work on.
"It feels great, like a lot of weight is lifted off my shoulders and I'm excited to join that," said Lyle of the Cardinals class. "Hopefully we can get Trey Lyles."
