Longhorns nab major in-state target

So far, the 2010-11 season has been a good one for Rick Barnes and the Texas Longhorns. They've gotten off to a good start against a murderous schedule and Friday morning they got their weekend started early by accepting a verbal pledge from Cameron Ridley.
A 6-foot-10, 240 pound center from Richmond (Texas) Fort Bend Bush, Ridley is a five-star talent from the class of 2012.

Ridley's summer coach of the Houston Hoopstars told Orangebloods.com's Jason Suchomel that the timing was right.
"We've been talking about it. That's where he wanted to go, he felt really good about the situation. He just wanted to make a decision," White told Rivals.com. "He didn't really need to look anywhere else. He wanted to go ahead and make his choice."
While Texas had long been the favorite, the commitment from Ridley came a little bit quicker than expected. However, it's one the Longhorns will gladly accept.
Ridley is a good back to the basket scorer, a high level rebounder and runs the floor much better than you would expect from a young man his size.
Ranked number 14 overall in the class of 2012, Ridley is Texas' first commitment from the junior class.
