Longhorns In Good Shape With Aldridge

Seagoville, Texas native LaMarcus Aldridge is one of the more decorated prospects participating in this weekend’s 9th Annual Kingwood Classic in Houston, Texas.
The 6-foot-10, 220-pound center is long and athletic and one of several stars on the Team Texas Elite AAU squad.

Aldridge currently lists Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and North Carolina as his top four favorites.
The Tar Heels have long been a major player for Aldridge’s signature but the Longhorns now appear to be the team to beat.
“The coaching change at Carolina doesn’t really affect my decision. Right now, my overall favorite is Texas,” he said. “I’m going to take my time. It is an important decision and I don’t plan to rush it.”
Aldridge indicated that he was keeping a close eye on the NBA.
“I don’t plan to commit early. There’s a chance I can improve my game and project to the NBA draft,” he said. “My top goal is to play in the NBA. I don’t mind going to college but if I can make the jump, I probably would.”
