Lofton to Visit Tennessee

With Jackie Butler turning pro and the possibility Damin Harris will not qualify academically, Tennessee is looking to sign at least one player this spring. The latest target is now 6-foot-1, 185-pound combo guard Chris Lofton of Mason Co. (Ky.) High School.
Chris Low of the The Tennessean has reported that Lofton, the No. 146 player in the Rivals150, will officially visit Tennessee on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

''I think it's a perfect fit,'' Kelly Wells, Lofton's Mason County High coach, told The Tennessean. ''Tennessee's in dire need of a shooter, and Chris answers that bell very quickly. If they officially offer him when he's up there, I'd be surprised if he doesn't take it. He's very interested.''
Lofton visited Arkansas State last week and does not have any high major offers at this moment.
Tennessee has also shown some recent interest in North Carolina shooting guard Edwin Ofori-Attah. The Tennessee staff watched Ofori-Attah play in last week’s Charlie Weber event.
