Livingston to Duke

Shaun Livingston ended one of the most anticipated recruitments of the 2004 class today when he made his verbal pledge to the Duke Blue Devils today at his high school in Peoria, IL.
With very little fanfare and no college hats to be seen, Livingston came to the forefront with a small prepared statement in hand and announced his decision.

"First of all, I just want to thank Arizona, Duke and Illinois for their time and energy they spent recruiting me," Livingston said at the press conference. "But after a lot of thought, I've decided to go to Duke University.
"Coach K has been recruiting me since I was a sophomore in high school and when it all boiled down to it, Duke was the right place for me.
"They will not only help me on the court but they'll help me prepare for the NBA and for life after basketball."
Livingston called Coach K on Monday night and informed him of his decision. The Arizona and Illinois coaching staffs both found out 15 minutes before the press conference.
The country's top point guard is the third player to committ to the Blue Devils in 2004. DeMarcus Nelson and David McClure round out the class.
