Livingston Schedules Visit To Arizona

Shaun Livingston has taken one step forward in his recruitment. The 6-foot-6, 170-pound point guard from Peoria Central High School in Peoria, IL., has scheduled an official visit to Arizona during their version of Midnight Madness. He is also in the process of setting up visits to Duke, Illinois and North Carolina, but no dates have been set for those visits.
“Yes, I’ve scheduled an official visit to Arizona during Midnight Madness,” Livingston said. I plan to officially visit Duke, Illinois and North Carolina, but I don’t know when those visits will take place.

“Duke, Arizona, and Illinois are really strong with me right now,” he added. “Those are the three schools that I really like. I’m just starting to hear from North Carolina. Coach Williams and I have been playing phone tag the last few days, so I have not talked with him about the situation. I will say that it would be nice to play for Coach Williams and North Carolina.”
The scholarship situation at North Carolina is somewhat complicated right now. Marvin Williams, Jr., has already received one of the final two scholarships. It’s believed that Brian Johnson and J.R. Smith are the top candidates for that final scholarship, but there is no doubt that the UNC staff is very interested in Livingston.
It’s possible that other scholarship could become available at North Carolina, but only if a player happens to transfer out of the program.
